These terms explain what The Human ARC Studio provides, what you may expect from housekind, and what we ask of you when you use it.
Who these terms are between
housekind is offered by The Human ARC Studio, based in Annapolis, Maryland. These terms apply when you visit housekind, use the free Load Check, create an account, buy the Back-to-School Reset, or start a membership. By using housekind, you agree to these terms.
Who may use housekind
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. You are responsible for the information entered through your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
What housekind provides
housekind helps a household see, discuss, and redistribute the work of family life. It provides prompts, printable materials, household records, and planning tools. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for household decisions and for checking that anything you rely on is accurate and suitable for your family.
The free Load Check
The Load Check and the Load Map it produces can be used without an account. They are kept in the browser on the device where they are made unless you choose to download or print them. Clearing that browser's saved data may remove them.
Purchases and access
The Back-to-School Reset costs $29 as a one-time purchase. A completed Reset and its signed Edition remain available through the purchasing account. Prices and what is included are shown before payment. Payments are handled by Stripe, and Stripe's own terms and privacy policy also apply to payment information.
Refunds
If the Reset did not help, write to hello@myhousekind.com and tell Amy what did not work. The Human ARC Studio will refund the Reset whether you ask before the two-week check or after. There is no form and you do not need to persuade us.
Memberships
Membership is offered monthly or yearly at the price shown before checkout. It renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your account. Cancellation stops future renewals, and access continues through the period already paid for. Ending a membership does not remove a completed Reset or signed Edition that remains available under the purchase terms. Stripe emails customers before an annual renewal.
Your household information
You keep ownership of the names, notes, choices, and other household information you enter. You give The Human ARC Studio permission to store and process that information only as needed to provide housekind. The Privacy page explains what is stored, what is counted, and how to request deletion.
Respectful use
Do not use housekind to break the law, interfere with the service, gain access to another household's information, or copy, resell, or exploit the service beyond your own household's use. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect housekind or other people.
housekind materials
The housekind name, writing, design, illustrations, and software belong to The Human ARC Studio or its licensors. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the materials for your household. It does not transfer ownership of those materials or permit commercial reuse.
Availability and changes
We may improve, change, pause, or stop parts of housekind. We will not use a change to take away a completed Reset or signed Edition that these terms say remains yours. We may update these terms when the service or law changes; the effective date at the top will show the latest version.
No guarantees
housekind is provided as available. Household circumstances differ, so The Human ARC Studio does not promise a particular family outcome or uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be limited.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, The Human ARC Studio is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of housekind. Its total liability for a claim connected with a paid product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product during the 12 months before the claim. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it.
Maryland law
These terms are governed by Maryland law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Anne Arundel County, Maryland, unless applicable law gives you another right.
