What housekind keeps, and what it never does.
Short version: the free check never leaves your browser, buying creates an account for your household plan, and nothing you write is ever counted or sold.
The free check
The Load Check and your Load Map live in this browser. No account is created, nothing is saved to a housekind server, and closing the tab loses nothing. Clearing your browser's saved data does remove it, so download or print the map if you want it kept elsewhere.
What exists once you buy
Buying the Reset creates three things: a payment record with Stripe, an account for your household, and your household's own content — the people, the bags, the pieces, the Edition. Your household's content is yours; it is stored so you can come back to it from your own sign-in link, and it is never used to train anything or shared with anyone.
Membership billing
Membership is $9 a month or $79 a year, handled by Stripe. It renews until you cancel, cancellation is self-serve through your account, and Stripe emails you before an annual renewal. Ending a membership never removes the Reset you paid for or anything it produced.
What's counted
Two things: how often each kind of piece is chosen, and when housekind suggests the wrong bag and you move it. Both travel as internal labels — a piece id and a bag id — never the words you typed, never a name, never an email.
Your email address is used for your sign-in link, your purchase confirmation, and billing notices. Nothing else is sent unless you ask for it, and there is nothing to unsubscribe from because there is no list.
Deletion
Write to hello@myhousekind.com and your account and everything in it is deleted. No form, no exit interview.
Refunds
If it didn't help, tell me what didn't work and I'll refund you, whether you ask before the two-week check or after. No forms. No convincing me. Write to hello@myhousekind.com.
Dictation
Speaking a piece uses your browser or phone's own dictation: Google's on Chrome, Apple's on Safari and iPhone. That audio is processed under their terms, not by housekind. Type instead if you would rather it did not.
What housekind never does
No ads. No selling data. No tracking you across the web.
