The sheet has the rhythm, the details and what to do when it goes wrong. Nobody has to explain it to you twice.
If you're the partner
We see you. You're trying. “Just give me a list” is a real offer, and here is why it lands wrong. A list still leaves the noticing with the person who writes it. They have to see the thing, decide it matters, decide it's yours, write it down, and remember to check. The list is the last two percent of the work. A bag is the whole thing. When you take a bag, the asking stops, and that is the part they have wanted all along.
What you leave with
A page for the fridge, and one for each person who helps.

Who can carry a bag
- A partner, a grandparent, a sitter, a nanny, a co-parent in the other home.
- Kids can carry a bag when the household decides they can. Younger kids are usually hands-on, not carriers.
- Medical, money, school-support and transport pieces stay with adults unless your household decides otherwise.
Grandma Pat's sheet has Tuesday pickup at the side door and nothing about the 504 meeting. It answers “what do we need from the store” before anyone asks it.
Nothing is shared until you have looked at it. You can move a line to another bag or drop it. Dictation uses your browser or phone's own speech service; housekind keeps the lines you confirm, not the recording.

A note from the person who built this
I own one of those beautiful kitchen-screen calendars. I never finished setting it up. It currently shows the weather. It is very good at the weather.

I have signed the same permission slip twice and still missed the deadline, in the same week. That is not a memory problem. That is what carrying all of it looks like.
